CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE

I was quite fascinated and at the same intrigued when I first saw those ill-fitting rings. It was all the rage! There were various cute and adorable designs all over and it didn’t slip in my DIY radar that’s why I’ll be making it in my project. Though it was quite some time now, almost forgot to do it here but my itch for cleaning my DIY kit paved in reminding me. I saw my roll of gold aluminum wire and my hand worked its way, expect not just one or two but five midi rings to stack up. Tutorial in a bit!

Inspired by my midi ring project, I pulled off a free spirit bohemian look. I love recreating this theme of ensemble because it always wraps you with individuality and character. So here, I paired my dainty lace cropped top with my navy blue maxi skirt and my oversized floral chiffon button down or my granny top. Then I picked this vintage looking platform shoe that blended well with my queer vibe, a lace tie for my head and a few thin bangles.

BTS: FOREVER 21 x MEG MAGAZINE SHOOT

I came in just right in time (it was a great feat for me since the call time was 8AM haha!) but I was the last to come among the models or should I say they are just too early. (Excuses! Haha!) Because of that I was the last to prep up, waited for a couple of hours just glad my cousin tagged along with me.

Finally, before my eyes get puffy and sleepy they called me inside. First stop, Makeup! I got thrilled when I knew it was MAKEUP DESIGNORY who’ll pretty-fy us! I’ve been spotting to enroll here soon. *wink* I met Chelle Yuson, a very warm and friendly MUA. I love that she welcomed my bulleted questions and shared a bucketful of useful tips and experiences. Thankies!!!

Another couple of hours passed in my makeup chair, the coloring stopped and tada! The stylist recommended a smokey eyes and neon lips, she wanted a Korean look on me.

Obligatory mirror shot. Haha!

Next was my hair. The direction was to give me a messy loose curl. Then I slipped on my outfit prepared by the Forever 21 team. I wasn’t that confident with my packaged look, I thought that I looked quite mature but i trust the creative team. I’m just crossing my finger to translate a good photo out of it all. But still thankful for the wonderful experience! Back at my work in ABS-CBN, I used to be with the clients scrutinizing at the back of the camera but now the table was turned and it feels quite different (in a good way).
