SPRING/ SUMMER FASHION 2014

Before you hit the up-front beaches and coveted summer destinations in our country, why don’t you take your first dib on the hottest trend during the Spring/Summer Fashion Week 2014! Here, I have listed my top three trends that aren't just worth staring but worth staggering as well.

ART WALK

Art lovers can now feast their eyes not just on walls but on clothes too this season. Prada, Celine and Christopher Kane paved their collections in illustrated arts and colour blocking. Expect paints swirls, brush strokes and spray cans adorning those fabrics in an irresistible fashion high. It is all about strong vibrant colors smashed to create interesting prints.

TREND POTS

Runways were bloomed with bunch of floral designs from Dries Van Noten, Mary Katrantzou and Alberta Ferretti last Spring/Summer Fashion Week for 2014. Designers picked the best roses, daisies and poppies to walk the runway down to the streets. Florals are staples during this season so it is not as surprising to see them blossom. You just might want to take your old one out again for a practical take for this seasons must have.

CLEAN STRUCTURE

Sheer shapes and structured pieces starred the collections of Calvin Klein, Valentino and Donna Karan. See how they translate a simple and a pure white garment into an ardent piece that is full of attitude. Conversation starters right on your shoulders.

FOREVER 21 X MEG MAGAZINE FEATURE

This is the December-January Meg Magazine issue where the lovely Kathrine Bernardo is the cover. I know this post is a bit late but here it is! It was taken last year around October with 21 other stylish girls that won the Threebies My Way Forever 21 contest. Over here’s a lookback on the BTS shoot.  To Chelle Yuso of Makeup Designory, much thanks!

The spread was a style feast! They clustered us to four groups with each key piece to play around with different concoctions and I was in the cropped top group. And oh please don’t bother to see the details. I know, I was the oldest among the models haha! I must admit I’m a bit of a late bloomer but still happy to receive comments that I look years younger than my calendar age.

This was one heck of a surprise in 2013, have not seen it coming but happy and privileged to experience to be one of Forever 21’s faces. Scroll down for  more of my behind-the-scene photos.

TUTU LOVE!

I know I may be quite old enough to wear tutu skirts or dresses but I still do wear them. Lol! But this time it’s not for me, it’s for my god daughter/niece’s first birthday outfit. My cousins knew exactly who to call when it’s a party/event talk and I love it! BTW, the theme is Hello Kitty! Couldn't be happier!

Venue, giveaways, invitation, tarpaulin, party needs and cake are all checked! One last item that I am so excited to make, tutu skirt! It may look hard and complicated but trust me on this one it’s easy. *wink* Tutorial in just a few click!

It was not your typical all pink kitty party, the mom wanted a rainbow motif that’s why we went for it. The skirt is a combination of pink, blue, yellow and green. Quite a festive one huh? And it looked really cute on her! So adorable!

Here’s what I wore on that night: a navy blue striped shirt dress, red doll shoes, my hello kitty head bag and Hello Kitty’s signature big red bow. Just a simple one for easy movement and simple cuteness! *wink*
