I have always been drawn to this
monochromatic combination, black and white. From Audrey Hepburn’s classic take
it to Coco Chanel’s simple yet elegant play on this duo tone I must say I
became a huge fan.
It is this years’ huge fashion trend
and undeniably taking the fashion world by storm. Black and white in bold stripes, oh my! This makes me so giddy
because this trend gives it a more fun and young vibe! And I’d like to give
this trend a personal touch by having this very simple project. I’ll be making
a plain button down into a black and white piece just by adding a sequined lace. (tutorial coming up!)
Inspired by the black and white
madness I created this simple casual look. I was wearing this oversized white
chiffon button down spiced up by my keen creativity, under was a white tube,
vertically striped shorts and a black inched high wedge.
My project is so easy! It will only take you a few minutes (depending on your sewing prowess) to revamp your plain collared button down. Here, I decided not to put the sequined lace over the collar to make it more discreet and to just give a hint of surprise. So here’s how to do it! Enjoy!
